Serve

Grant, O God, that we may follow the example of thy faithful servant Barnabas who, seeking not his own renown but the well-being of your church, gave generously of his life and substance for the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel. ~ Collect for St. Barnabas Day, June 11 Book of Common Prayer

Opportunity for Service

The Rooted in Outreach Community Kitchen (ROCK)

The Rooted in Outreach Community Kitchen (ROCK)

Rooted in Outreach Community Kitchen (ROCK) partners with St. Barnabas, along with St. Augustine Catholic Church, and Awaken Church to provide meals for 300 + homeless and motel bound people once a month. Exciting is the word, when ROCK gets ramped up each month and volunteers are busy. St. Barnabas really comes alive as meal preparation fills the kitchen and Parish Hall. Rock and St. Barnabas just reached our first full year of working together to serve in this wonderful partnership.

Christmas Bells

Christmas Bells

During the Christmas Season, the Choir brings out the bells and practices to prepare for Christmas Services. The parish also adopts families to provide items on their wish lists- we wrap the gifts and deliver them.

Prayer Shawl  Ministry

Prayer Shawl  Ministry

This is a very prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Shawls may be given for almost any reason, but usually for someone facing surgery, an illness, bereavement, a birthing or a marriage. When the shawl is completed, it is blessed by the rector and presented to the recipient with a card. Beginners as well as experienced knitters and crocheters are welcome. Help is available if needed.

Within our

Within our Church Family

We care for those in our church family and enjoy Fellowship after services and during events. We keep in touch through in-person visits, phone calls, texts, email, and send personalized cards through the mail.

We prepare special gift bags at Christmas and Easter for those who are unable to worship with us.
